Every year Physically Challenged Mela has been conducted in Gop Block to find out the physically challenged persons and issue them certificate of physically challenged along with linking them with different Govt. schemes. The problem was the mela has been conducted, but the physically challenged certificates were not distributing to the eligible persons. Radio Namaskar made a radio programme on it and broadcast. The programme was filled with the information relating to process of getting disability certificate, where and how to apply, who are the concerned officers etc. After then the response was spectacular, Physically Challenged persons were rushing towards the block office to get their certificates. Now according to BDO, Gop more than 70% applicants have got their disability certificate and linking them with different schemes launched by Govt and remaining are in process and will get soon.
